Developing a child safe risk management plan - face to face

Who it's for

Our session on how to develop a Child Safe Risk Management Plan is for anyone in child-related work responsible for child safety.

What it'll cover

As part of the Child Safe Scheme, all child-related organisations in NSW should apply the Child Safe Standards. Standard 8 refers to risk management where 'physical and online environments minimise the opportunity for abuse to occur'. Child safety cannot occur without efficient risk management.

Our child safe trainers guide participants through our child safe risk management handbooks to help them understand how to develop a robust Child Safe Risk Management Plan to help keep children and young people safe from harm and abuse.

To complement the session, download our risk management handbooks:

You can now renew your WWCC by using digital proof of identity – no need to visit a Service NSW Centre.
How to renew using digital proof of identity (POI)

You will need:

  • A MyServiceNSW account with the WWCC service added

If you're renewing a paid WWCC, you will also need a credit card, debit card, PayPal or PayID account.

If you have an expired WWCC clearance or have changed your name on your identity documents since the last time you renewed your WWCC, you can't renew using digital proof of identity.
