Some NSW Government agencies must develop and report on Child Safe Action Plans. These are strategic plans that clearly detail how these agencies will influence change across their sectors, noting their authority as sector leaders. The plans promote sector-wide reform, building awareness of child safety and embedding the Child Safe Standards across existing regulatory schemes.
NSW Government agencies required to prepare a CSAP are:
- Department of Communities and Justice
- Ministry of Health
- Department of Education
- Office of Sport
- Office of Local Government
- Inspector of Custodial Services
- NSW Education Standards Authority.
We will work closely with these agencies to support them to develop these action plans.
We will also coordinate with other government agencies and regulators to minimise regulatory duplication so organisations and providers are not overburdened.
