Who it's for
Our session for the faith sector on how to develop a Child Safe Risk Management Plan (Practical) is for anyone working with children at camps, outings and special events. Before you register for this session, you must complete the Developing a Child Safe Risk Management Plan (Theory) session. It's available to watch now as an on-demand webinar.
What we'll cover
As part of the Child Safe Scheme, all child-related organisations in NSW should apply the Child Safe Standards. Standard 8 refers to risk management where ‘physical and online environments minimise the opportunity for abuse to occur’. Risk management is also a core component of Standard 1. Organisations are expected to develop strategies that 'focus on preventing, identifying and mitigating risks'. Child safety cannot occur without efficient risk management.
Participants are guided through our child safe risk management handbooks to help them understand how to develop a robust Child Safe Risk Management Plan to help keep children and young people safe from harm and abuse.
