About the NSW Child Sex Offender Counsellors Accreditation Scheme.
The NSW Child Sex Offender Counsellor Accreditation Scheme is suspended while improvements are made to the scheme. It is anticipated the scheme will be relaunched in 2023.
Accredited members under the scheme will be notified in advance of the scheme relaunching.
As part of the review, the scheme is being renamed Harmful Sexual Behaviours Counsellor Accreditation Scheme (HSBCAS) to more accurately reflect the purpose of the scheme.
Until the scheme relaunches, you may wish to contact New Street Services as an alternative. New Street provides therapeutic services to children and young people aged 10 to 17 years who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviours towards others, and to their families and caregivers.
