Enquire about accreditation

Last update: 22 March 2022

Enquiry about your organisation becoming accredited to provide statutory out-of-home care or adoption services in NSW

If your organisation wants to provide statutory out-of-home care or adoption services in NSW, it must first be accredited by the NSW Children’s Guardian.

The decision to apply for accreditation to provide statutory out-of-home care or adoption services requires a significant commitment of time and resources. Please take time to first read through the information available on this page so that your organisation is aware of the accreditation process and requirements of the NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care.

The Office of the Children’s Guardian is experiencing a high volume of applications for accreditation and there may be delays in assessing applications from new providers seeking provisional accreditation. Agencies seeking provisional accreditation must contact the Accreditation and Monitoring team prior to submitting an application for provisional accreditation. A member of the Accreditation and Monitoring team will provide you with further information about application requirements, the assessment process and assessment timeframes.

If you have questions about the accreditation application and assessment process, you can email accreditation@ocg.nsw.gov.au or phone (02) 8219 3796.

To lodge an application enquiry, please complete the form below.
