Our 45-minute Getting Started on Implementing the Child Safe Standards webinar is for leaders, managers and business owners of small organisations  working with children in NSW. This includes faith, sport and recreation, volunteer and small community organisations. 

What we'll cover

The Getting Started on Implementing the Child Safe Standards webinar will point you in the right direction to new resources and tools developed by the Office of the Children’s Guardian to make it as easy as possible to implement the child safe standards and to track your progress. 

This webinar will take you through the 6 practical steps below to help put the foundations in place to become a child safe organisation, including new tools and resources.

  1. Understand the Child Safe Standards
  2. Make sure your staff and volunteers have necessary checks
  3. Develop or review your key Child Safe documents
  4. Reduce risks to children in your organisation
  5. Show your commitment to being a child-safe organisation
  6. Track and review your progress

You can now renew your WWCC by using digital proof of identity – no need to visit a Service NSW Centre.
How to renew using digital proof of identity (POI)

You will need:

  • A MyServiceNSW account with the WWCC service added
  • 3 current identity documents including a NSW driver licence or photo card
  • a device with a working front camera for face verification.


If you're renewing a paid WWCC, you will also need a credit card, debit card, PayPal or PayID account.

If you have an expired WWCC clearance or have changed your name on your identity documents since the last time you renewed your WWCC, you can't renew using digital proof of identity.
