eLearning brings new focus on leaders in early childhood services

A joint project with the NSW Department of Education entered a new phase when a new module of 3 eLearning courses for early childhood educators was published on Wednesday 9 October.

The three Child Safe courses focus on different early childhood education and care services:

  • centre-based
  • outside school hours
  • family day care.

The first 3 modules were designed for educators and frontline staff, with the final 3 focusing on leaders within these services.

Module 4 describes how services can create a culture of reporting and remove reporting barriers. It also explains obligations under the Reportable Conduct Scheme.

Developed by the child safe resources team in collaboration with the NSW Department of Education, as the regulatory authority for early childhood education and care in NSW, the eLearning courses will each have 6 modules when they are completed. Modules 5 and 6 are in development.
