This completes a 2-year joint project joint of the Office of the Children’s Guardian and the NSW Department of Education, the regulatory authority for the ECEC sector in NSW.

The courses cover setting-specific Child Safe content for:

  • Centre-based services
  • Family day care
  • Outside school hours care.

Since the first modules were published in January 2024, more than 11,000 people have participated in the courses.

It’s the first child safety eLearning suite tailored to help ECEC approved providers, service leaders and educators understand and meet legislative requirements under the NSW Child Safe Scheme.

All staff will benefit from the first 3 modules, with modules 4–6 designed for service managers and leaders.
