Use the following as a checklist in the lead up to employing children and young people. Employment activities include things done to prepare for a performance such as costume fittings, a meet and greet, publicity and rehearsals.
The person responsible for casting and giving directions to the child is required to hold an authority to employ children. Authorities are valid for either one week, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months.
The employer is the person who has some level of responsibility for casting the child and giving directions on what the child is required to do.
