Other organisations under the Child Safe Scheme
Other organisations that come under the Child Safe scheme include some:
- services provided by the Department of Communities and Justice
- NSW health services
- custodial services, and
- services that provide other forms of substitute residential care.
Education including Early Childhood
Under NSW law, government and non-government schools and approved early childhood education and care services must comply with the NSW Child Safe Scheme.
Local government
Under NSW law, Local Government must comply with the NSW Child Safe Scheme if they provide services to children, or if adults have contact with children in their organisation.
Sport and recreation
Under NSW law, sport and recreation organisations must comply with the NSW Child Safe Scheme if they provide services to children, or if adults have contact with children in their organisation.
Faith-based organisations
Under NSW law, faith-based organisations or religious entities must comply with the NSW Child Safe Scheme if they provide services to children, or if adults have contact with children in their organisation.

Leaders in child safe organisations
The Child Safe Scheme requires strong leadership, commitment and action. Leaders should drive child-safe cultures and work to embed them in their organisations and communities. Leaders do this by being well informed about child safety and putting the interests of children first.

You will need:
- A MyServiceNSW account with the WWCC service added
- 3 current identity documents including a NSW driver licence or photo card
- a device with a working front camera for face verification.
If you're renewing a paid WWCC, you will also need a credit card, debit card, PayPal or PayID account.
If you have an expired WWCC clearance or have changed your name on your identity documents since the last time you renewed your WWCC, you can't renew using digital proof of identity.
