Carers Register
Introduction
The Carers Register supports the safety and wellbeing of children and young people living in statutory out-of-home care in NSW by maintaining a central record of authorised carers and members of their households.
The register enables designated agencies to manage carer information throughout the authorisation lifecycle, supporting consistent record keeping, informed decision-making and information sharing across the out-of-home care sector.
Under the Children's Guardian Act 2019 and Children's Guardian Regulation 2022, designated agencies must record and maintain information about authorised carers and their households in the Carers Register.

Introduction
The Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) is an independent, statutory authority committed to delivering better outcomes for children and young people in supported and statutory out-of-home care (OOHC). We are a regulator – not a provider of care services. We accredit and monitor the performance of agencies that arrange statutory and supported OOHC and adoption services.
The OCG administers the Carers Register, a database of persons authorised to provide (or who apply to provide) statutory or supported out-of-home care services in NSW. Household members are also recorded on this database.

Child Safe Recruitment and the WWCC – 10am to 11am

You can now renew your WWCC by using digital proof of identity – no need to visit a Service NSW Centre.
How to renew using digital proof of identity (POI)
You will need:
- A MyServiceNSW account with the WWCC service added
- 3 current identity documents including a NSW driver licence or photo card
- a device with a working front camera for face verification.
If you're renewing a paid WWCC, you will also need a credit card, debit card, PayPal or PayID account.
If you have an expired WWCC clearance or have changed your name on your identity documents since the last time you renewed your WWCC, you can't renew using digital proof of identity.
