Interstate placements and the Carers Register
Sometimes a child under the care of the NSW Minister for Families and Communities may live with foster, relative or kinship carers in another state or territory in Australia.
When this happens, the agency responsible for the child has certain obligations. The document below helps agencies understand their responsibilities, including registering carers and household members on the Carers Register, and outlines other key requirements when supporting children in these situations.
